Reese Witherspoon seriously pursued her acting profession after she enrolled at Stanford University. Early successes in the field of critical success included parts in movies like Pleasantville and Election however it was her role as Elle Woods in the box office smash Legally Blonde that marked a significant turning point in her career. Witherspoon received one Academy Award, in 2005 in her role as Walk the Line. Additionally, she was a part of The Dictator as well as The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. She is a talented artist and painter in along with being an accomplished actor.
